Bio

Mr. Darshan Kumar is a Physiotherapist in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Medcare Medical Centre. After completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) he acquired a Master’s in Physiotherapy (MPT) and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). He also has an Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Certification from the UK, a certification in Dry Needling from Turkey, and a FIFA Diploma. Mr. Kumar is a member of the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association, the Dubai Health Authority and the Council of Allied Health Science Pakistan. 

Mr. Kumar has worked with various reputed hospitals across Pakistan, as a skilled physiotherapist. He practised at the Orthopaedic, Neurology, ICU, CCU and Physiotherapy Departments at the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre and then with a team of orthopaedic surgeons , neurologists and in family medicine at the Orthopaedic Medical Institute, both in Karachi in Pakistan. He is an expert in managing musculoskeletal pain, soft tissue injuries, post-operative fractures rehabilitation, neuro-rehabilitation and Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). He uses the latest techniques like dry needling and orthopaedic manual therapy to treat back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and Plantar Fasciitis. He has been instrumental in facilitating sports injury rehabilitation, surgical post-operative rehabilitation, knee and hip replacement rehabilitation and arthroplasty surgery rehabilitation.

Mr. Kumar likes to de-stress by travelling to interesting places and driving around. He speaks English, Hindi and Urdu.
