After graduation in 2009, I worked for the ‘Association for the Physical Disabled of Kenya’ a Charitable NGO whose services were modelled through a 3-tier service provision model of Community Outreach, Community Rehabilitation and Static Clinics. Later ventured into private practice with Personalized Therapy Clinic of which I was the Founder and Lead Therapist. Moved to Dubai in 2015 and has been working for both private outpatient rehabilitation clinics and inpatient specialty hospitals. This include Dr. Majdi El Halik Physical and Mental Rehabilitation Center in which I rose to the position of Head of Unit-Rehabilitation Department, Senior Occupational Therapist in Autism Rocks Resource Center and Occupational Therapist 1 at Aljalila Children’s Specialty Hospital which is a 200-bed modern acute care facility.
Currently practicing in Camali Clinic which is a nationally recognized multidisciplinary child and adult mental health service in Dubai, UAE. The clinic works within a multidisciplinary framework to ensure a holistic and comprehensive treatment approach.

OT intake questionnaire will be sent to the client prior to the initial consultation to ascertain the current concerns and reasons for seeking services. This should be filled and sent to therpist before initial consultation(Client is also advised to send any relevant medical reports t this point). This assists in tailoring your initial assesment session.Goals for the initial OT session are to history taking, creating client rapport and most importantly ascertaining the concerning/challenging areas through clinical observation and/or standardized assesments.Treatment/OT goal plan is then provided which states the frequency of sessions and intervention to be used.
