Bio

Ms. Mariam Osama Sayed Gamal is a Physiotherapist at Medcare Medical Centre. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy (BSc PT) from the University of Sharjah and has a Certification in Dry Needling.

Ms. Gamal began her career in Dubai as a Physiotherapist at the Neuro Spinal Hospital and then gained additional experience at the Dubai Police Rehabilitation Centre (DPTRC). This gave her exposure to neuromuscular rehabilitation and working with conditions like cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy. Later, she worked with the Rashid Centre for the Determined Ones and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, receiving invaluable hands-on experience managing diverse musculoskeletal cases, including orthopaedic and rheumatologic conditions. Before joining Medcare, she had been working at the Dubai Hospital in Dubai.

As a Physiotherapist, Ms. Gamal focuses on sports injury rehabilitation and return-to-performance protocols in active populations. She has observed and assisted in paediatric rehabilitation, focusing on developmental and physical disabilities and worked on post-surgical rehabilitation following spinal and neurological surgeries. She treats cervicalgia (neck pain), low back pain, frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), pain cases and neurological rehabilitation.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and swimming. She speaks Arabic and English.

Benefit of the therapy

Physiotherapy supports you in moving with more ease and confidence. Whether you're recovering or working on prevention, it helps you understand how your body functions and what you can do to improve strength, flexibility, and comfort.

How the session will go

A physiotherapy session starts with a discussion about your physical concerns, medical history, and any current discomfort or injuries. The practitioner may assess your movement, posture, or strength. Depending on what’s needed, the session could involve guided exercises, hands-on techniques, or planning for a rehab program. Clear communication and comfort are prioritized throughout.
