Ms. Sindhu M K completed her bachelor's in physiotherapy from Ms. MGR Medical University, India. She is also certified to provide basic life support and the mulligan joint mobilisation technique. After completing her studies she worked at the KG Hospital and Postgraduate Medical Institute, Coimbatore, India. Following this, she moved to the UAE where she worked at the Karama Medical Center and the Central Private Hospital. She is a member for life of the Indian Association of Physiotherapist.
Ms. Sindhu's area of expertise covers the treatment of back pain, joint pain, paralysis, bells palsy, arthritis, post fracture stiffness and joint dislocation, among other things. She is skilled in orthopaedics and traumatology cases such as rehabilitation after sports injuries, fractures and joint replacement surgeries (post-operative), soft tissue injuries and tendon transfer surgeries. She treats the muscle weakness and loss of mobility that accompany neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis, stroke, guillain-barre syndrome (GBS), cerebral palsy, autism, polio, head injuries and surgical cases and tabes dorsalis, among others. She prepares patients for surgery and offers post-operative care for patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacement surgeries, pulmonary surgeries and surgeries to treat cancer. She treats patients who have obstructive and restrictive lung diseases and she helps in the management of pain during and after labour by teaching patients pre and post-partum exercises.
After work, Ms. Sindhu spends her time reading and cooking. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
