More about Piyali Gupta

Piyali is a CDA-licensed psychologist with over two decades of experience working across schools, colleges, hospitals, and clinical settings in both in-house and private roles. She brings extensive clinical expertise in delivering therapy to children, adolescents, and adults facing a range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, and mood disorders. Her therapeutic approach is solution-focused, drawing from an integrated developmental framework.

She has worked extensively with adults, offering couples therapy that promotes understanding, respect, affection, and intimacy between partners. In addition, she actively supports students and young adults in managing emotional, social, and behavioral challenges, developing essential life skills, and navigating key life decisions—including educational and career choices.

Piyali also works closely with parents and families, offering guidance and psychoeducation. She is passionate about raising awareness around mental health and regularly conducts workshops and training sessions for school and college communities, focusing on early identification and intervention of psychological concerns.

Having served as both a School Counselor and Head of Inclusion for over a decade, Piyali has worked across the Emirates and holds deep knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). She is especially committed to early identification and creating effective school-based support systems.

Driven by a lifelong passion for education and learning, Piyali has received extensive training in assessing, diagnosing, and treating various mood, learning, and neurological disorders affecting both children and adults. She has substantial experience in assessments related to ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, reading comprehension difficulties, and Autism Spectrum Disorders, among others. She has also pioneered alternative pathways in education, introducing programs like ASDAN to support school children facing learning barriers.
