Bio

A therapist and psychotherapist with 28+ years of experience advising at-risk students. While seeking to improve the care of students and provide psychological services to them at all academic levels.

Skilled specialist in counselling, guidance and psychological and educational evaluation of students.

Graduated a PhD in Educational Psychology with distinction from Cairo university. 

Within the field of educational psychology, I have also specialized in psychological and educational assessment and evaluation, particularly in measuring cognitive and intellectual abilities. I have experience in administering intelligence and personality tests, as well as standardizing them.

(Age group: For counselling session – 9 years old onwards & Assessments – 2 years old onwards)

For Children & Adolescents:
When working with children and adolescents, I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment where they can freely express their emotions. I use a combination of play therapy for children and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for adolescents to help them manage anxiety, depression, and behavioural challenges.

For Adults:
I adopt an integrative approach to therapy, blending cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help adults overcome various psychological challenges.

For Couples & Family Counselling:
In couples and family counselling, I use a combination of dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) to enhance emotional communication and strengthen relationships.

Therapeutic Approaches:
In my practice, I find that integrating different therapeutic approaches is the most effective way to meet clients’ diverse needs. (CBT), (ACT), (EFT) & (DBT).

Subsequent sessions (50 minutes each) begin with a brief check-in, followed by a focused discussion using evidence-based techniques. The process is collaborative and supportive, conducted in a safe and confidential space where the client feels heard and respected.
